Your Guide to the Best Drugstore Beauty Products

Much like my wardrobe, I also prefer my beauty cabinet to be chock-full of both high-end and affordable products. While I have plenty of luxury beauty items on-hand, there’s no denying that some drugstore products are absolute gems. It just goes to show that not everything needs to cost an arm and a leg to be the best of the best. If you’re also a certified ride-or-die drugstore fan, you’ve come to the right place. I scoured my drawers and rounded up my ultimate list of the best drugstore beauty products. From unbeatable makeup under $10 to transformative skincare finds, these are the must-have items you need to add to your shopping list ASAP.

Mascara

Product: Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara

Price: $9.99

I’ve been using this mascara since the dawn of time. While I often rotate through formulas, this Maybelline one has had a place in my collection since I was a teen. Black is a no-brainer pick up but if you are looking for something new, try the burgundy color!

Anything from e.l.f.

Product(s): Everything

Price(s): Most under $15

By far, e.l.f. continues to be my favorite drugstore makeup brand. Not only is it extremely affordable, all the products are also cruelty-free and vegan. They have nailed down so many luxe dupes including Dior’s lip oil and Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter.

Foundation

Product: L’Oréal Truematch Foundation

Price: $9.99

We all know shopping for a foundation at Sephora can cost a pretty penny. When it comes to the best drugstore beauty product alternatives, there’s a reason why the L’Oréal Truematch is a cult favorite. This product has been around for years and I definitely consider it an oldie, but goodie. It offers amazing coverage and blends well into the skin for a natural appearance. They even have a version with added hyaluronic acid!

Setting Spray

Product: NYX Professional Bare with Me Setting Spray

Price: $9.99

No makeup look is complete with a dose of setting spray. While I adore the Urban Decay spray, this NYX one is amazing at $10. It’s infused with aloe and cucumber extract, which means that not only does it help to lock in your look, but it also hydrates the skin. This one is also equally amazing!

Eyeliner

Product: Milani Stay Put 16HR Eyeliner

Price: $8.99 – $10.99

Real makeup lovers know that not every eyeliner is made equal. On the surface, it seems like a basic product in which formula doesn’t matter. However, a high quality eyeliner goes a long way. If you are on the hunt for an affordable option, get your hands on this Milani product.

Lip Gloss

Product: Maybelline Lifter Plumping Gloss

Price: $8.99

If you follow me on TikTok, you already know that my weakness is a juicy lip combo. If there’s one drugstore beauty product you try from this list, let it be the Maybelline Lifter Gloss. There’s an endless amount of shade options to choose from, but by far, the best part about this product is the formula. It incorporates hyaluronic acid for hydration and is incredibly lightweight without feeling sticky!

Mani

Product: Olive & June Super Stick Press-On Nails

Price: $8.99

Looking for the ultimate last minute manicure solution? Let me introduce you to these Olive & June press-ons! These are absolutely amazing for the perfect, DIY mani and it only takes minutes to complete. It’s as easy as just sticking them on with the built-in adhesive tabs. From solid to design, there’s so many cute options!

Lip Hydration

Product: Aquaphor Immediate Relief Lip Repair Balm

Price: $8.39 (for two)

There’s no point in applying lipstick or gloss if your lips are incredibly chapped and dry. When it comes to lip hydration, you simply cannot go wrong with a tube of Aquaphor. This product never fails to revitalize my skin and I’ll keep a tube of it on me at all times!

Sunscreen

Product: La Roche-Posay Anthelios Clear Skin Sunscreen Dry Touch SPF 60

Price: $19.99

Summer is here which means a lot more time spent outdoors. I know you already know this, but you should always be reapplying! For an affordable drugstore option, I highly recommend this one from La Roche-Posay. It’s not greasy and is great for those with more sensitive skin.
