Woman-Owned Brands in Fashion and Beauty

With one week left of the month (and the arrival of spring), I wanted to take the time to share some woman-owned brands in the fashion and beauty space that I have grown to absolutely adore. While we should be celebrating the successes of women every single day, I did want to honor my fellow women since March is Women’s History Month. There is no denying the collective hardships that we, as women, have faced over the years. Thus, it is so important to lift each other up and to support one another in as many ways as possible. I find this especially pertinent in the fashion and beauty industries as these can often be highly competitive and even toxic. Instead, I encourage you all to seek out woman-owned brands to support. To make it easy, scroll down to learn about my favorite woman-owned brands to date.

From Staud’s iconic handbags to their delectable clothing, they can do no wrong. Sarah Staudinger and her partner George Ausgto founded the brand back in 2015 and it has been a major powerhouse ever since. If you are seeking to beef up your spring wardrobe, Staud is a great place to start.

Hill House

Known for the famous Nap Dress, Hill House is a dreamy, romance-inspired brand founded by Nell Diamond. In addition to their cottagecore pieces, I am partial to their jewelry offerings. Currently, I have been loving these drop earrings as a way to dress up all of my outfits.

Alice + Olivia

Designing for the modern woman is literally in the roots of Alice + Olivia. This ready-to-wear designer never fails to let me down. I have worn countless pieces from their collections and always manage to receive compliments! If you are looking for elevated pieces that are eco-conscious, high-quality, and timeless, you will absolutely love Alice + Olivia.

Briogeo has long been praised for their miracle-working haircare products. Well did you know that this beauty brand is woman-owned and operated? Founded by Nancy Twine, she sought to create a line of products that celebrates everyone’s hair journey. Everything from texture, color, and hair type is uniquely you and their products recognize that.

Charlotte Tilbury

If you haven’t tried the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Settings Spray yet, let Women’s History Month be your excuse to do a little shopping. The Pillow Talk lip duo is as equally life changing.

Drunk Elephant

We all know and love Drunk Elephant but what you might not know is that the company was started by Tiffany Masterson. Tiffany had dealt with irritative, sensitive skin for the longest time and ultimately decided to take matters into her own hands. Now, Drunk Elephant’s skincare products are continually at the top of Sephora best sellers list.

Hero Cosmetics

This is certainly not the first time I have raved about Hero Cosmetics on the internet. The Hero original patches are my go-to way to tackle any breakouts. Ju Rhyu is the inspirational woman behind the brand. You can pick up some of their patches and skincare products at your local Target or you can order them below!

I hope this helped you discover more woman-owned brands to add to your rotation today!
