It is that time of the year again – wedding season! It seems there is still a backup from covid and there are a ton of weddings planned for spring 2022. Given this, there is a good chance you already have secured an invitation or two! Personally, I love a good wedding. Not only are they fun but there is something so beautiful about witnessing such a momentous celebration of love – call me old fashioned! However, one of the most important things to consider when you start getting an influx of invitations, is what are you going to wear?! I will gladly take any excuse to do some shopping and an upcoming ceremony is the only push I need to open a new tab to start doing a grand online spending spree. There are certain formal looks that I have been gravitating towards these past few weeks, so I thought I would compile them here for ease of shopping. Keep reading to discover the spring wedding guest looks I cannot get enough of!
Spring Wedding Guest Looks I Cannot Get Enough Of

Bold Maxi
Recently, I had the honor of attending the Critic’s Choice Awards and I walked the red carpet in a gorgeous sunflower yellow Oscar de la Renta gown. Although this was not necessarily a wedding, it got me thinking that this look would translate well for any formal event. If the upcoming ceremony you have on the books is a black tie occasion, a bold and beautiful maxi dress will do just the trick to turn heads and make a statement. By tapping into brighter colors, you will not only feel the magic energy of the garment but you will also be adhering to the growing trend, bold hues. In this case, the brighter, the better! Everything from the golden yellow I wore to orange or pink or blue will look stunning for any spring wedding.

Updated Wrap Dress
For those who prefer more classic spring wedding guest looks, you can try sporting the updated wrap dress. This is any dress that gathers in the front. It is perfect for accentuating the smallest part of the waist and emphasizing curves. I say ‘updated’ wrap dress because there are so many fresh and contemporary takes on this style now! You could take notes from the aforementioned look by channeling more bold colors or you can stick to the classic by opting for a LBD version of the wrap dress. This particular wedding guest look will be optimal for more causal ceremonies.

Touch of Glam
If you are looking to add a bit of spice and glamour to when you attend your next wedding, try rocking something metallic. This is a surefire way to make an entrance and another trend that has been extremely popular with the masses. Anything with a touch of reflectiveness will be an optimal choice – from interwoven sparkles, sequin embellishments, and liquid metallic fabrications. The metallic look will always make for killer wedding guest looks that go above-and-beyond your typical cocktail dresses. If you want to tone it down slightly, feel free to pair an oversized blazer on top for added coverage.

Romantic Lace
The last look that I wanted to highlight in terms of wedding guest looks that I have been gravitating towards is lace. I mentioned my fond sentiments for all things love and affection. Lace naturally fits the bill as it is an age-old fabrication that never stops oozing romance. However, like all styles, be sure to avoid anything white or cream when attending a wedding. There are plenty of stunning lace one-pieces in a variety of colors. Personally, I am a sucker for all things black. One of my current favorite lace numbers is actually on sale now at Nordstrom – I highly recommend this one for any upcoming wedding! It definitely has the legs to live beyond the spring season and can be over and over again for different events.
