My NYFW Spring Summer 2024 Recap

The return of September can only mean one thing… the return of fashion month! Like usual, things got kicked off in the Big Apple. Straight from the gate, it was a jam-packed few days. Not to mention we had to deal with the lingering summer heat while simultaneously trying to adapt more autumnal ensembles. From visiting the Chanel beauty team at the new diner pop-up in Brooklyn to sitting in on various runways and presentations, I left with a renewed sense of excitement for sartorial dressing. If you are interested to see what I got into and what fashion takeaways I had, I am recapping my entire NYFW Spring Summer 2024 experience for you here! Simply scroll ahead to discover my hectic few days in New York City.

Chanel Diner Experience

Coinciding with the start of NYFW, Chanel Beauty opened up the “Lucky Chance’ diner in Brooklyn. This is a free, immersive fragrance experience designed to let you discover their newest scent, CHANCE EAU FRAÎCHE Eau de Parfum. As you can expect, the pop-up was an explosion of aesthetic decor. From mint and pink walls to a retro jukebox, it was such a fun opportunity. And yes, the new Chance perfume is just as dreamy as one might expect!

Night Out with Stella McCartney

While we all love and live for the runways, the other part of Fashion Week that I enjoy are the nightly soirées! Early in the week, I was invited to Stella McCartney’s party where I was able to catch up with some creators and tastemakers that I haven’t seen in a while. Even Lil Kim made an appearance for a performance!

Dior J’adore Celebration

The following night I headed off to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden for an intimate party with Dior Beauty. This time, we gathered to honor the newly launched J’adore L’Or Eau de Parfum. It was such a lovely time complete with a scrumptious dinner, flowing drinks, and even a live string quartet! Certainly a NYFW experience for the books.

Monochrome Moment

One of my personal fave looks of the week involved this monochromatic moment. I stopped at La Pointe and was able to borrow this stunning ensemble complete with an emerald green feather top and matching trousers.

Pro tip: Get ahead of the curve and shop for green. This shade is expected to be omnipresent this fall and winter!

Bevza

NYFW Spring Summer 2023 was full of sultry, feminine clothing trends. I absolutely fell in love with each and every look at Bevza. I would describe the collection like a breathe of fresh air. There was heavy use of creamy whites, whispy fabrications, and delicate drapery. The clean and dewy makeup by Tayaba Jafri was equally as dreamy!

Jason Wu

Designer, Jason Wu, has once again, outdone himself. The SS24 collection was shown at Isamu Noguchi’s Sunken Garden at 28 Liberty and was a true sight to behold. Each look was more ethereal than the last with whimsical embellished dresses, drop waist silhouettes, and more.

Patbo Show

I felt like a mermaid when attending the Patbo NYFW spring summer 2023 show! I wore a silver metallic maxi dress from the brand itself and styled with a brown Fendi First clutch. As far as the looks, I was blown away. It was a medley of bright, saturated colors and feminine silhouettes. There was also heavy use of 3D florals, so don’t expect the rosette trend to go away any time soon.

COS

To round out my NYFW experience, I caught up with one of my favorite brands, COS. My favorite thing about this brand is the wearability. Each look was incredibly elegant but still approachable for everyday wear. For the show, I opted for a crisp white shirt dress and layered a wrap skirt on top for a fun layered effect.
