If you begrudgingly said it is too early to start pulling out the fall decorations these past few weeks, this is your sign that the time is now! With October almost over, the holiday season is going to be here before you can even bat an eye. I love getting into the spirit and decorating my space accordingly. There is something so festive and magical about putting up seasonal decorations and I find it really does lift your spirits and puts you in a good mood. That being said, I definitely prefer decorations with a clean, minimal approach so it can match back to my home’s everyday aesthetic. I did some online shopping and found some really chic seasonal pieces that will enhance your space for the fall. So if you are ready, put your interior design hat on and come create a cozy ambience with these harvest decor ideas!
Create a Cozy Ambience with these Harvest Decor Ideas
Harvest Decor for the Mantle
The mantle is an opportune place to decorate for the holidays. It is so easy to swap out your everyday decor for a more autumnal relevance vibe. I always like to start with a mirror in the center and then I will begin to add decor around it. There are cute, festive garlands to hang from your mantle to inspire you to get in the thankful mood. Or you could even inject a fall color palette through items such as vases filled with dried flowers, petite little pumpkin statues and/or a cozy candle display!
Festive Front Door
I love decorating the outside of the home as much as the interior! The front door is always on display for you, guests and whoever happens to be passing by. Spread the cheer by adding key harvest decor such as a relevant fall doormat with kitschy sayings like “Hey There Pumpkin” or “Grateful”. Additionally, porch learners or tall narrow typography signs are an adorable way to cast a friendly greeting to all those who might see it! To finish off the front door decor, hang a minimal fall wreath on the door to complete the look.

Harvest Decor for the Dinner Table
The holiday season also means lots of hosting! If you have an upcoming dinner party or Friendsgiving on the horizon, you might want to invest in some harvest decor for the dinner table! First, there are so many cute dinnerware sets and serveware fitting for the occasion. I highly suggest setting the table with cute napkins and a gold finished flatware to further add to the ambience. Last but not least, an autumn themed centerpiece such as display of little pumpkin decor will wow your guests and make it Instagram worthy.
Layer Up with Cozy Textiles
My last suggestion to get your home prepped for the season is to invest in some new cozy textiles! Layering warm faux-fur throw blankets on the sofa and bed is an easy way to soften up the home for the holiday season. Do not sleep on pillows either!! Soft cushions in sherpa and harvest colorations will instantly uplift your home. You could even go so far as to opt for this cute pumpkin pillow!
These are a few ways I transform my own home to match the warm, welcoming vibes of fall. What is your favorite harvest decor tip?
