HOW TALL ARE YOU?
I’m 5’9″
WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?
I am Nigerian, and was born in Canada as the first baby of the year and lived there for some time after being born. I then spent the remaining years traveling and living around the world, spending most of my time in Czech Republic, Nigeria and Germany. I consider myself a citizen of the world. Home for me is where my heart is.
WHO TAKES ALL OF YOUR PHOTOS?
My boyfriend shoots most of my photos, and my sisters or brother shoot me when I’m traveling. It is awesome having brilliant people around me! I also work with various photographers around Los Angeles, depending on the project I’m working on! I shoot my most of my photos using a Canon, however, I am open to using an iPhone when the mood and lighting is perfect. I have studied photography and art as a hobby, so I love creating the essence and moods behind my images.
WHEN DID YOU START BLOGGING?
I created my blog way back in September 2013, took a short hiatus after relocating to Los Angeles, and now I’m back and better than ever!
I have a YouTube channel where I talk about all my pets a lot. I began that a few months ago. I think between my blog and YouTube videos, it kind of shows just how dynamic my personality is. Never a dull moment!
WHO DESIGNS AND EDITS YOUR CONTENT?
For photography, I handle the entire process of creation from the inception to the execution- which I love to do. I use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and even use iPhone photo editing apps. Depending on the concept that I am going for, I let the visions in my mind lead.
For videos, my boyfriend is very talented with video creation and we work on videos together. It is really cool because my video content differs from my blog content. We both love animals, so the creation and traveling adventures are particularly exciting!
I’M IN THE PROCESS OF STARTING A BLOG, DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO GET STARTED?
That is awesome! Start it and do not get too hung up on perfection until you are able to find your voice and brand. I would recommend to brush up and study how you can perfect your photography, angles, writing, etc. Network with like minded people as much as you can and realize that in order to achieve success, you will need to invest in your self in whatever way, i.e. time, money, fun etc. Also, realize that there are times that you will feel like you are going nowhere, just stick to your passion and keep running with it. Try to follow your heart and let it lead it you creatively in whatever direction that drives you. I believe that once you find the right thing and go with it, you will find the drive and motivation to continue the pursuit of your genuine interests. The most important thing you should do is just start it. Create, create and create!
