Chic Dresses to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Summer wedding guest dresses
On me: BCBG Corset Floral Gown

After a strange year of cancelations and various Zoom weddings, it is so heartwarming to see that in-person ceremonies are back on! That being said, there has been a crazy influx of wedding invitations for the next couple of months and I am sure you guys are experiencing the same thing! I absolutely adore weddings as it is a great excuse for everyone to take time out of their busy schedules, reunite and have a lot of fun! However, it is also another great excuse to treat yourself to one (or two) gorgeous dresses to wear to your next celebration of love. There are a lot of choices on the market so I pulled this post together to make it easier for you to shop. Here is a collection of trendy, chic dresses to wear to a summer wedding.

Chic Dresses to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Slip Dress

I am such a huge advocate for the timeless slip dress. This is one of those versatile styles that transcends all ephemeral trends and will never fail to look good! Solid midi-length slip dresses are so incredibly easy to wear, however, do not be afraid to rock a printed slip dress too. For this style, I love wearing it with a pair of lace up sandals or kitten heels

Maxi Dress

When it comes to summer, there is just something so magical and ethereal about a billowing maxi dress. Not only are they incredibly comfortable to wear, but the majority of these styles tend to look more formal thanks to their sweeping length. For attending a summer wedding, I find myself gravitating towards romantic florals and soft ruffle details.

Statement Sleeve

If you are in the market for something on the trendier side for your upcoming event, my suggestion would be opting for a statement sleeve. Whether it be a puff or a bell sleeve, this look is rising in popularity by the minute. It tends to have that sweet, demure cottagecore look that is all the rage these days. The statement sleeve trend continues to play a major role in the fashion realm and I expect to continue well into fall and winter too.

LBD

I would be remiss not to mention the classic LBD for your upcoming wedding. Whether you have a wedding to attend or not, we can all agree that keeping one of these in your wardrobe at all times is a must as you never know when you need to pull it out from the depths. You could always invest in an option with details like a cut out or an asymmetrical shoulder but there is no shame in sticking to something classic that can live on after the wedding is over.
