If you are anything like me, you are very particular about your fragrances. While I am partial to a rose scented perfume year round, I do prefer to switch things up seasonally. There is something that doesn’t feel quite right about wearing a dark, musky scent during a bright summer afternoon. Thus, I made it my mission to put my nose to the test. While I already have an extension collection of Eau de Parfums and fragrances galore, I wanted to ensure I explored all options. I went hunting for summer-centric scents that are made for the olfactory inclined. From bright citrusy notes to hints of sea spray, you will have no trouble finding your new favorite army of summer perfumes here. Best part? I made sure each and every one is under $100!
Beautiful Summer Perfumes Under $100
Glossier You
Fragrance Family: Warm & Spicy
Scent Type: Warm & Sheer
Key Notes: Pink Pepper, Iris, Abrox
Now that Glossier is on Sephora, all of their products have been buzzing in the beauty community, including the Glossier You perfume. This scent always intrigued me because it is known to be a very personal scent with the ability to smell different on each wearer. Although it’s divisive, I would say it is worth trying out because those you love it will wear it on a religious basis!
Coconut Sun
Fragrance Family: Fresh
Scent Type: Fresh Solar
Key Notes: Coconut, Frangipani, Vanilla
Nothing says summer quite like the smell of coconuts to transport you to a tropical state of mind. The 7 Virtues is a new brand to me but the glowing reviews on Sephora were enough to have my intrigued. With one spritz you are transported to vacation mode and who doesn’t want to encapsulate this feeling all season long?
Phlur Tangerine Boy
Fragrance Family: Fresh
Scent Type: Fresh Citrus & Fruits
Key Notes: Tangerine, Lemon, Amber
Phlur is another brand that I have been quite curious about! Started by entrepreneur and influencer, Chriselle Lim, Phlur has quickly expanded into a fragrance empire. I thought Tangerine Boy would be the perfect addition to a roundup of summer perfumes. The fun, citrusy scent is intoxicating without being too over powering.
Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus
Fragrance Family: Fresh
Scent Type: Fresh Solar
Key Notes: Frangipani, Orange Blossom, Golden Amber
For those who adore floral heavy scents will no doubt fall in loved with this one. By Nest Fragrances, this Sunkissed Hibiscus perfume has all the notes of a tropical flower, making it the perfect summer scent. The key notes of orange blossom provide the slightest citrusy hint to make it seasonally appropriate.
Bobbi Brown Beach
Fragrance Family: Fresh
Scent Type: Fresh Solar
Key Notes: Jasmine, Sea Spray, Mandarin
Yes, Bobbi Brown, the makeup brand that you know and love has their own fragrance. I was just as surprised as you are! However, it is a happy realization as Beach by Bobbi Brown has quickly become one of my favorite summer perfumes. It is perfect for everyday wear.
Floral Street Sunflower Pop
Scent Type: Fresh Citrus & Fruits
Key Notes: Bergamot, Bellini Accord, Honey Accord
The name of this fragrance says it all. Sunflower pop is a bright burst of sunshine. It is a balance of both fresh citrus and floral notes. If I had to describe what I thought sunshine would smell like, it would certainly smell something like this. Plus, the bottle is absolutely gorgeous to display! It is very much inspired by Van Gogh.
By Rosie Jane Rosie
Fragrance Family: Warm & Spicy
Scent Type: Warm & Sheer
Key Notes: Rose, Nude Musk, Vanilla
On the contrary, if you are not quite ready to give up your warm and spice perfumes quite yet, don’t be alarmed. Instead, I offer up Rosie. This scent is rather classic with strong notes of vanilla and musk. However, there are also key notes of rose which give it that warm weather touch.
Calvin Klein One
Fragrance Family: Fresh
Scent Type: Fresh Citrus & Fruits
Key Notes: Bergamot, Green Tea, and Musk
I love seeing more unisex product on the market, especially in the beauty industry. One by Calvin Klein can be adaptable to anyone. While it smells refreshing and clean, the soft hints of bergamot add a little mysteriousness. Consider this one a no-brainer for both you and your S.O.
Tocca Stella
Fragrance Family: Fresh
Scent Type: Fresh Florals
Key Notes: Blood Orange, Freesia, Spicy Lily
Light, refreshing, and long-lasting. Stella is everything you dreamed of in a daytime fragrance. Plus, I cannot get over the antique inspired glass bottle. Who knows? This may just become your new signature scent.
Skylar Lime Sands
Fragrance Family: Fresh

To round out my suggestions of beautiful summer perfumes, I leave you with another tropical inspired scent. Lime Sands is a zesty, beach inspired fragrance that I absolutely adore for the summertime. It isn’t overwhelming, making it perfect for daily use.
